From a Delhi Retail Store to a Pan India Destination

NH ONE began in 1991 as a physical retail store in Delhi, a neighbourhood that has long been one of the most active hubs for automotive accessories and electronics in North India. Our founder, Ms. Khushboo, started the business with a clear and specific purpose: to make genuine, brand-certified car accessories available to every driver who walked through our door, rather than the imitation products and grey-market imports that dominated much of the market at the time.

The first products we sold were car music systems. Audio was the starting point because it was the upgrade that more Indian drivers wanted than anything else, and it was also the category where the gap between what customers were being sold and what they actually needed was widest. Drivers were being fitted with uncertified, no-brand units that failed quickly, had no after-sales support, and bore no resemblance to what was advertised. We chose a different path from the beginning.

Over the following decades, the store grew, the catalogue expanded, and the customer base deepened. What began with music systems extended into car cameras, LED lighting, floor mats, car covers, android players, amplifiers, subwoofers, and more than 100 distinct product categories covering virtually every aspect of the modern Indian car. 

In 2023, we brought that same expertise, the same brand relationships, and the same commitment to genuine quality to nhone.in, making the full NH ONE catalogue available online for the first time. Drivers across India can now access, with the added convenience of Pan India delivery and digital support at every step.

What We Set Out to Solve

The problem that led Ms. Khushboo to start NH ONE in 1991 was straightforward: the best car accessories from the best brands were not reaching most Indian car owners. Either the brands were not stocked locally, or the products available in smaller cities and towns were counterfeit or inferior versions of what city buyers could access. The upgrade a driver wanted was often out of reach through no fault of their own.

NH ONE was founded to remove that barrier. Our mission is to supply brand-genuine, certified car accessories to every corner of India, to every car owner regardless of where they are, what they drive, or what their budget is. The move to e-commerce in 2023 was the natural extension of that original mission. A store in Delhi can serve one city. A fully stocked online platform can serve the whole country.

Ms. Khushboo started NH ONE in 1991 with a conviction that Indian car owners deserved better than what the market was offering: genuine brands, honest guidance, and products that actually worked as described. Thirty-four years later, that conviction is still the reason every product decision is made the way it is. The store has grown, the catalogue has expanded a hundredfold, and the reach is now Pan India rather than one neighbourhood in Delhi. But the principle has not changed.
