Mahindra Thar 2020+ 7D Car Floor Mats Black | 7 Depth Layer Protection | Scratchproof | Waterproof | Soundproof | Removable Grass Mat | Anti-Slip Velcro Base | Set of 3

The Mahindra Thar 2020+ 7D Car Floor Mats in Black are a full-coverage floor mat set built to protect the Thar's interior from dust, mud, oil, water, and snow. The "7D" refers to 7 distinct material depth layers that work together to protect the original carpet, absorb sound and shock, resist moisture, and keep the mat firmly in place. The set comes in black and includes a removable grass mat on top for extra protection and easy cleaning, raised edges to cover the entire floor area, a Velcro anti-slip base, and is scratchproof, waterproof, and soundproof. The set contains 3 mats. Below is what each feature does and why it matters.

7 Depth Layer Protection

The core feature of these mats is the 7-layer construction, where each layer serves a specific role in protecting the car interior, absorbing sound and heat, and keeping the mat stable. Together, the layers deliver more comprehensive protection than a single-layer mat can provide.

1. Wire Loop (Top Layer): The outermost layer traps dust, dirt, and debris and prevents it from reaching deeper layers. It is non-slip on top, waterproof, and reduces noise, protecting the car interior from daily fouling.

2. Heavy-Duty Vinyl Backing: Sits beneath the wire loop and makes the mat anti-slip, waterproof, and dust-proof. Protects against stains, fading, and dirt build-up and is easy to wipe clean.

3. PU Leather: Requires minimal maintenance. Dirt and dust on its surface can be removed by simply wiping, making ongoing care straightforward.

4. Sponge: An inner layer that absorbs shocks and dampens sound coming through the floor, reducing vibration and road noise felt inside the cabin.

5. Non-Woven Fabric: Provides liquid repellence, resilience, softness, strength, washability, cushioning, thermal insulation, and acoustic insulation.

6. XPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene): Provides heat insulation from the floor, sound absorption, and cushion support. Also retains the mat's shape over time.

7. Anti-Slip Bottom (Base Layer): Grips the original car carpet and holds the mat in position during use, without harming or scratching the carpet beneath it.

Raised Edges: Full Floor Coverage

The mat has raised edges that extend upward along the sides of the floor area, preventing spills, mud, and water from escaping to the sides and reaching the original carpet. The edges ensure full coverage including the corners and base of the door sills.

• Raised edges: Yes

• Coverage: Entire floor area including corners

• Protects against: Dust, oil, mud, water, snow

Removable Grass Mat: Extra Protection and Easy Cleaning

The mats include a removable grass mat attached to the top surface. The grass mat adds an extra layer of protection over the main mat body and can be removed at any time for cleaning. Remove it, wash it, dry it, and reattach. This keeps the main mat underneath cleaner for longer.

• Grass mat: Included, attached on top

• Removable: Yes, for washing

• Benefit: Extra protection and simplified maintenance

Scratchproof, Waterproof and Soundproof

These mats are rated scratchproof, waterproof, and soundproof, addressing three common failure points in everyday floor mat use.

• Scratchproof: Top surface resists scratches from footwear, grit, and debris

• Waterproof: Spills, rain, and mud stay on the surface and can be wiped off; the mat does not absorb moisture

• Soundproof: The sponge and XPE layers reduce road noise and vibration coming through the floor

Anti-Slip Velcro Base

The underside of the mat is fitted with a Velcro sheet that grips the original carpet and holds the mat in place, preventing sliding during driving. The Velcro grip works without permanently fixing the mat, so it can still be lifted and removed for cleaning.

• Anti-slip method: Velcro sheet on base

• Keeps mat in place: Yes, without harming original carpet

• Removable: Yes
