Mahindra Thar 2020+ Black Fog Lamp Garnish | Glossy Black | ABS Plastic | Tape-Based Installation | Custom Fit | Protects Against Scratches and Dust | Set of 2

The Mahindra Thar 2020+ Black Fog Lamp Garnish is a decorative cover for the Thar's fog lamps, finished in glossy black and made from ABS plastic. It fits over the fog lamp housing and gives the front end of the Thar a sharper, more deliberate look while also protecting the fog lamps from scratches, dust, and minor damage. Installation is tape-based, with no drilling or modification needed. The set includes 2 pieces, covering both the left and right fog lamps. Below is what each feature does and why it matters.

Glossy Black Finish

The garnish has a glossy black finish that gives the fog lamp area a sleek, clean appearance. The glossy surface catches light cleanly and sits well against the Thar's front bumper, adding a purposeful, sporty look to a part of the vehicle that is otherwise functional and plain.

• Finish: Glossy Black

• Effect: Clean, sporty look at the fog lamp area

• Complements: Thar's front bumper and rugged exterior styling

ABS Plastic Construction

The garnish is made from ABS plastic, which is the standard material used in automotive exterior trim. ABS plastic is rigid, impact-resistant, and does not corrode or degrade from weather exposure, making it suited to a front-facing exterior fitment on a vehicle like the Thar.

• Material: ABS Plastic

• Properties: Rigid, impact-resistant, weather-resistant

• Suitability: Front exterior fitment exposed to road debris and weather

Protective Design: Guards Against Scratches and Dust

Sitting over the fog lamp housing, the garnish acts as a protective cover that guards the fog lamps against scratches, dust, and minor impacts. The fog lamp area on the Thar is low on the front bumper and exposed to stone chips, mud, and road debris, making a protective cover a practical addition alongside the visual upgrade.

• Protects against: Scratches, dust, minor impacts and damage

• Coverage: Over the fog lamp housing

• Benefit: Keeps the fog lamp surface cleaner and in better condition

Tape-Based Installation: No Drilling or Modification

The garnish uses high-strength adhesive tape for fitment. There is no drilling into the bumper, no screws, and no modification to the vehicle required. The garnish is pressed onto the cleaned fog lamp surface and holds in place through the tape bond.

Installation steps:

1. Clean the surface: Wipe the fog lamp area with a clean cloth to remove all dirt and grease.

2. Peel the tape: Remove the adhesive backing from the garnish.

3. Align carefully: Position the garnish over the fog lamp to confirm the fit before pressing.

4. Press firmly: Press the garnish onto the fog lamp surface to activate the adhesive bond.

5. Leave to set: Allow the adhesive to bond for a few hours.

Post-installation note: Do not wash the car for 2 to 3 days after fitting to allow the adhesive to fully cure.

• Installation method: High-strength adhesive tape

• Drilling required: None

• Modification to vehicle: None
